Hello and welcome to The Book Review

Please read over the genres I prefer to read and review before filling out the blogger review request form.  Please remember I receive many, many, many review request.  There is no way I can answer each request.  Please be patient and hopefully I can return your query in a timely manner.

I prefer MOBI format when possible, but PDF or EPUB is fine too.  NO DOC files.  If you have print copies only, please be sure to mention that.

Please leave a link to your book on Amazon or Goodreads,   a synopsis,  explain what category your book is in, and contact information.

I post reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and LibraryThing

I do not edit or remove a review once it's posted unless I have made a typo or similar error

If you filled out a request form, but didn't hear from me within a few days, please do not resend.  Please do not email me personally, and please do not contact me via Goodreads.   I will get to your request as soon as humanly possible.

I understand in today's climate, how very important book reviews are.  I understand your need to gain as many reviews as possible in order to feature your book on various promo sites.  However, adhering to these guidelines will help me review more books, faster, because I will not have to weed through request that do fit my criteria.

One final note:  If I enjoyed your book, and have the time, I may offer to  showcase the book here at The Book Review.  This is a FREE promotional service.  If you want me to do a feature for you, my only request is that you follow my blog, like my Facebook page- and follow me on Twitter at  Following a blog is a requirement due to visitor questions and comments. If you are not here to answer questions, you look bad, and it reflects poorly on me.  Please be sure to stop by the day your post goes live and leave a comment.

Thank you SO much for your understanding and for stopping by The Book Review.

  1. Hi
I'm Croatian award winning horror, SF and children's fantasy writer with more then 30 books published. My real name is Sanja Petriska, but I write under the name Viktoria Faust. My first novel in English is out, Beauty of The Beast. It's vampire horror novel (not vampire romance novel, but horror). It was first published in Croatia 15 years ago, and readers loved it.
Would you be willing to review it?

Viktoria, a young and not particularly talented painter, comes across war vampires in the middle of war torn Croatia in 1992. She becomes obsessed with them. But socializing with vampires is dangerous. One of them attacks her and infects her with what she believes is AIDS. To save herself she leaves with Damian, the oldest of the vampires, on an adventure that will prolong her life forever … or end it.
    Looking forward for your answer

  2. I found you on Tweet Your Book, and then followed you on Twitter. You say you're interested in historical fiction, so perhaps you'd be interested in Gold Rush Deluge.

Gold Rush Deluge, Book Two of The California Argonauts is:

    · A novel based on historical events in gold rush Sacramento.

    · The story of a young, single woman determined to become a doctor in an era when women were not accepted into the medical profession.

    · A murder mystery.

    · A love story.

    · A glimpse into the Wild West of 1850s mining life.

I’m delighted to connect with you and send you a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. I realize the time you take to review books is quite valuable, so I’d like to make getting the book into your hands as simple as possible. I can send you a gift of the Kindle book which you can redeem on Amazon. If you prefer PDF, epub or another format, just let me know.

Not sure if you'll like my writing? You can try out my free short story in the series and get to know Lucinda and George. Gold Rush Wedding is permafree everywhere online.

Thank you for your generosity in doing reviews. Please let me know if you'd like a review copy and I'll send it right out.

  4. Hi Julie,

I saw your name on Author Resources and see that you are a trusted reviewer. Thank you for helping out authors. I know it takes time to read and review books.
I was wondering if you would consider reviewing my newly released book Annoure and the Dragon Ships. It's historical fiction with a strong romance. The story is set in 794 A.D. about a young noble woman who is kidnapped on the second Viking raid on Saxon England. The book is accurately researched and takes the reader to England, Norway and the steppes of Asia. Along the way there is adventure, vengeance, redemption and love.

    Title: The Shackled Scribes
    Genre: Science Fiction/Fantasy
    Release date: 9/20/16
    Target audience: New Adult/Adult

Futharkia is a city built upon the layout of an ancient rune shape, and a foundation of slavery. The Broxanians have been enslaved by the Olgoikhorkian Masters to exploit the Broxanian talent for rune-scribing. In exchange, the rune-scribes are compensated with the sweet, golden liquid, Ichor, that the giant worm-like Olgoikhorkians secrete from their glands. The Ichor also happens to be highly addictive and psychoactive. The system has worked for millennia. However, the Great Fern Jungle that surrounds Futharkia is dying, being bleached white by some unseen force. Coupled with the fact that the simian-like Fern Lice have been hunted to near extinction to provide for Futharkia's ever-increasing demand for food, the ecosystem is near collapse. It is amid this setting that Cyesko Limariar, an aging rune-scribe makes one last attempt at greatness to lift himself out of poverty, even if by fraudulent means.
